What the site is

Plain Method publishes one course of five steps about starting a large online game on a desktop or laptop computer. It is general information for a general audience. It is not personal advice, and it has not been written with your particular circumstances, equipment or household in mind.

The course is not accredited training. There is no registration, no assessment, no supervision, no qualification and no certificate, and finishing it entitles you to nothing beyond having read it. The word "course" describes the shape of the writing, not a formal programme of study.

Accuracy and change

The course is written carefully and reviewed on a fixed schedule, as the About page describes. Even so, the things it describes change. Publishers revise system requirements, redesign their sign-up pages, alter what can be bought inside a game and update their own terms, and Australian rules about classification and consumer protection are amended from time to time.

Where a step describes a product, check the vendor's own current pages before acting on it. Where a step touches on Australian law, check the body we link to rather than relying on our summary. We do not warrant that everything on the site is current or complete at the moment you read it, and we may change or remove any page without notice.

Links to other sites

The course links to government bodies, to a vendor and, as paid affiliate links, to the destination described on the Affiliate Disclosure. Those sites are controlled by other organisations. We do not operate them, we cannot vouch for what appears on them, and a link is not an endorsement of anything beyond the specific point it is cited for. Your dealings with any other site, including any purchase you make there, are between you and that site.

Your own use of the site

You may read the course, print the checklists and use them for yourself, your household or your classroom. You may link to any page. Please do not republish the text as your own, scrape the site at a volume that interferes with other readers, or attempt to interfere with the server.

The text, layout and illustrations are the property of LUKREX s.r.o., apart from brand names belonging to others. Nothing on the site is professional, legal, financial, technical or security advice.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where the Australian Consumer Law applies and permits us to do so, our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee in relation to services is limited to supplying the services again.

Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows, LUKREX s.r.o. is not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from your reliance on it, including decisions you make about hardware, purchases or accounts. The site is provided as it is.

Trade marks

All brand names on Plain Method, War Thunder among them, are the property of their owners. Except for the paid affiliate links described on our funding page, none of those owners is affiliated with Plain Method, and none has endorsed or sponsored it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic, where LUKREX s.r.o. is established, and the courts there have jurisdiction over disputes about them. That does not displace any protection available to you as a consumer under Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law, or under the mandatory law of the place where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The effective date above changes when we do, and the version published here is the one that applies.
